Every student is different. Some new drivers may only need a few focused lessons before their road test, while others benefit from a more structured learning plan over several weeks or months. Your experience level, confidence, practice time outside of lessons, and goals all play a role. At Safety Driving School, we tailor lessons to the individual student and focus on building safe driving habits, confidence, and real-world driving skills — not just “getting through” the test.

Yes. Students may use a Safety Driving School vehicle for their ICBC road test, subject to availability. Our road test packages typically include a warm-up lesson beforehand, vehicle use during the test, and guidance to help you feel calm and prepared on test day.

Safety Driving School provides driving lessons across many areas of Metro Vancouver, including Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, the Tri-Cities, and the North Shore. Depending on scheduling and availability, additional areas may also be serviced. Please contact us if you are unsure whether your area is covered.

Yes. Communication is an important part of the learning process, especially for younger or new drivers. Parents can receive lesson summaries, progress updates, and areas of focus after lessons so everyone stays informed and involved throughout the training process.

First — don’t panic. Many good drivers do not pass on their first attempt. We review the test results with you, identify the areas that need improvement, and create a focused plan to help you prepare for your next road test. Often, a failed test simply highlights a few habits or situations that need more practice and refinement.

Yes. All standard driving lessons are private one-on-one sessions with the instructor and student only. This allows lessons to remain focused, personalized, and tailored to the student’s skill level, confidence, and learning pace.

Our standard driving lessons are 75 minutes long. We believe this provides enough time for meaningful instruction, practice, feedback, and exposure to different driving situations without feeling ovewhelmed.

Safety Driving School uses modern automatic vehicles equipped with dual controls for added safety and peace of mind. Our vehicles are clean, professionally maintained, comfortable to drive, and well-suited for both beginner drivers and road test preparation.
